  • Donald Friedman’s internationally acclaimed book, The Writer’s Brush: Paintings, Drawings, and Sculpture by Writers, brought together in one collection the visual art of more than 200 of the world’s great writers. To celebrate its publication, he organized a modest exhibition of writer-art which, after enlisting reare bookseller and ar dealer John Wronoski for help, was enlarged to inclues dozens of poets and writers somehow ommited from the book, and became a museum-scale show. The catalogue documents that historic exhibition. It opened at Anita Shapolsky Gallery in New York.
